Lawsuit filed: Dallas Executive Assistant was told to only record time totaling less then 40 hours

On November 13, 2013, the lawyers at Dunham & Jones P.C. filed suit in Federal Court in Dallas, Texas against Cartus Corporation on behalf of former executive assistant Debra Echavarria, alleging overtime violations.

Ms. Echavarria filed suit under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) for all unpaid overtime hours worked within the three-year period prior to the filing of the suit.

Ms. Echavarria, who worked in Dallas, Texas, alleges that she worked through in excess of 40 hours per week, including working through lunch. However, Ms. Echavarria alleges she was told to only record time totaling less than 40 hours per week. Ms. Echavarria was not paid overtime.
