Lawsuit filed: Clerk at San Antonio cleaners sues for minimum wage and overtime violations

On March 12, 2014, the employment lawyers at Dunham & Jones, P.C. filed suit in Federal Court in the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division against Zareena Investments, Inc. and Jalaluddin J. Barolia, Individually, on behalf of former employee Leticia Vargas, alleging both minimum wage and overtime violations. Zareena Investments operates a dry cleaning business in San Antonio known as Super Cleaners.

Ms. Vargas, who was a counter clerk, filed suit under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) alleging that she frequently worked more than 40 hours per week, but was never paid time and one half for these hours.
