Lawsuit filed against Bucher & Christian Consulting, Inc. for Overtime Violations

On October 2, 2013, Dunham & Jones, P.C. filed suit in Federal Court in Houston, Texas against Bucher & Christian Consulting, Inc. d/b/a BC Forward on behalf of former backup and recovery specialist Reginald Maxwell, alleging overtime violations.

Mr. Maxwell filed suit under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) for all unpaid overtime hours worked within the three-year period prior to the filing of the suit.

Bucher & Christian Consulting, Inc. alleges that Mr. Maxwell, who worked in Houston, Texas was exempt from overtime based on the computer professional exemption. However, Maxwell denies that any of the duties he performed for Bucher & Christian Consulting, Inc. qualify him for the computer professional exemption.
